1. The “Kingdom of God” was at hand because the King was present. What does this truth mean for you today and tomorrow?

“Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.” (1:17)
2. When did you get serious about your walk with Christ? Tell the story of when you decided to accept Jesus as your Savior. Was there a different time when you decided to follow Him as His disciple?

“…astonished at His teaching”; “…amazed…the demons obeyed.” (1:22,27)
3. Do you find yourself more captivated and intrigued by the powerful teaching of Jesus or the powerful works of Jesus?

4. What is the difference between “being amazed” and actually “following”? “Immediately the news about Him spread everywhere.” (1:28)

5. Why did the news spread? What lesson can we learn from this? What steps can I take to make it real?

Missions Focus

UPG FOCUS: The Kalu in Bangladesh
The Kalu are a Muslim people group in Bangladesh with a long history in farming and traditional oil production. They follow Sunni Islam, and many rely on folk spiritual practices for guidance and protection. Although Scripture and gospel resources are available in their language, there are no known believers there. Pray that the Holy Spirit would draw the Kalu to Jesus, raise up disciple-makers from among them, and use both practical care and the gospel to reveal Christ's love.
