Home Church

What is a Home Church?

Home Church is a small group gathering of 12-16 people who meet weekly to pray, study God’s Word, and grow in relationship with God and one another.

When do Home Churches meet?

Home Churches will launch for the Fall semester the week of August 17th and conclude the week of December 7th. The Spring semester will run the week of January 4th and conclude the week of April 26th. There are currently groups meeting on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.

What are the expectations for someone in a Home Church?

Adults form relationships by proximity and consistency over an extended period of time. Since Home Church is all about relationships, we ask those in a Home Church to commit to being present and prepared each week. Make Home Church a settled fixture in your week as opposed to something that is a week to week decision. Obviously if sickness hits or work goes late unexpectedly, you will have to miss, but that is the exception, not the norm. To form great relationships, you need to be there! We also want you prepared by having been at church on Sunday morning or listened to the podcast of the message. This allows you to fully participate in the discussion as well as share any insight the Lord may have given you that would bless someone else. We also ask for you to commit for the full year.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship,

to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” | Acts 2:42

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching:

Here at Fellowship we place a high value on God’s word.  We encourage a threefold approach to engaging the Scriptures.  First, you spend time in the Scriptures on your own, then we gather on Sunday mornings to hear the teaching of that Scripture from our senior teaching pastors. Finally, you spend time in community discussing how God’s word applies to everyday life. We believe that Home Church is a great space for lives to be transformed as we journey together as a spiritual family.

They devoted themselves to the fellowship:

Home Church is all about building relationships, and this is where we strive to know one another deeply by connecting in a meaningful way on a consistent basis. Through this fellowship, we are able to encourage one another, hold each other accountable, serve alongside each other, and truly be the Body of Christ as we live life together.

They devoted themselves to the breaking of bread:

The early church broke bread together to remember and to celebrate the provision of Christ.  In our Home Churches we take time to share meals together and as often as we do this we want to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We also want to have hearts filled with gratitude for all God provides for us and how He sustains our very lives.  Time around the table is a powerful picture of being a part of God’s family.

They devoted themselves to prayer:

As believers, we know that prayer is an important part of engaging God and one another.  Home Church provides an opportunity to praise God for who He is, as well as lift our concerns to Him. Through prayer, our hearts are changed and we are given eyes to see like Christ as we worship the Father and intercede for one another.

The early church was radically transformed as they devoted themselves to God and one another.  We believe this can happen through our Home Churches as well! We encourage you to sign up for a Home Church using the form below or by contacting Michael Harrison at mharrison@fellowshipconway.org

Home Church Childcare

In an effort to help our families to get connected in a Home Church, Fellowship offers two main nights of childcare for children who are 4th grade and under. Sunday or Wednesday night from 5:30-8:30 PM (drop-off beginning at 5:30, pick up no later than 8:30) leave your kids with us while you focus on connecting with other adults in your Home Church.

Your kids will be safe and interacted with by loving, trained workers who are also background checked. Each week your kids are not just just sitting and entertaining themselves - we provide a combination of snacks, games, Bible stories, songs, and movies.

Sign-up & Payments for Childcare

  • Fellowship heavily supplements the Home Church childcare ministry; however, we charge a nominal fee from each family to ensure its sustainability. The cost is $35/per month regardless of frequency of use or how many kids in 4th grade and under you have. The cost for the entire Home Church year (August-May) is $280/family.

  • To make the process as simple as possible, we ask you choose one of these payment options:

    • Pay August – November completely either via check, cash, or payment on our online giving page ($140). We will send an email reminder in January to collect the second payment for the rest of the year.

    • Pay entire HC year via cash, check or payment through our online giving page ($280).

Click here to get started. You will be asked to sign-in or sign-up for InFellowship, which will allow you to select all kids 4th grade and under you are registering for childcare. Once registered, instructions will appear instructing you how to pay.
