HOME CHURCH QUESTIONS

1. What is your experience and familiarity with creeds?  Did you grow up in a church or home that used creeds?  What are your thoughts right now about creeds?  Are you favorable or opposed or interested in
learning more?

2. The Apostles’ Creed is a summary of the Christian faith.  If someone asked you to summarize the Christian faith, how would you do it?  What are some advantages to using a resource like the Apostles’ Creed to help us when we are summarizing the Christian faith?

3. One characteristic of Christian faith is that it requires specific content.  Talk about some of the key content of the Christian faith based on Romans 10:9-14.  Talk about some of the key content in the Apostles’ Creed.

4. Romans 10:9 talks about confessing and believing in your heart.  How would you explain to someone what this means to believe with the heart?  How can you know if you believe with your heart?

5. What are some ways you might consider using the Apostles’ Creed in your life?  (For example, you could you use it to share your faith, or teach your children, or for personal devotion or prayer.)  Share with the group one way you will try to incorporate the Apostles’ Creed into your life over the next few weeks.

Mission Highlight - Pray for the Unreached: The Teli in India
The Teli of India number over 21 million and traditionally worked as oil pressers, though many now farm or labor in other industries. They speak Hindi and follow Hinduism, often worshiping a variety of gods and honoring ancestors. Though they have access to the Bible, Jesus Film, and audio resources, only 0.02% identify as Christian, with no known evangelical presence. Most have never heard the gospel. Pray that faithful laborers would take the good news to the Teli and that whole families would come to follow Jesus.

Home Church Launches This Week
Home Church small groups are about building a deep community where we are transformed into the image of Christ and serve a broken world for the sake of the gospel.  All of this takes place through fellowship, engaging the Word, praying together, and serving alongside one another.  If you are not in a Home Church, we encourage you to go to fellowshipconway.org/homechurch,  and fill out the form. We can then connect you with a small group.  If you would like more information, please contact Michael at

Men’s Fall Theology Study
Join us, Thursdays, beginning September 4, 6-7:00 a.m. (church library) for a discussion-oriented study, led by Ken Wilson as we explore what the Bible teaches about the nature, purpose, and mission of the Church. This is a great opportunity to grow in theological depth and enjoy meaningful conversation with other men who desire to think biblically and live faithfully.  Bring your Bible, your questions, and a readiness to engage. We hope to see you there!
