(19:1-7)

Paul’s Ministry
The ministry of witnesses continues in varied contexts
with God’s support regardless of the response.
(19:8-12)

False Ministry
False witnesses will always appear
but ultimately will be exposed.
(19:13-16)

Lessons for Witnesses:
Witnesses to the transforming message of life in Jesus
are faithful to their calling, no matter what happens.

Next Steps
I will evaluate the effectiveness and impact of my witness.
I will take steps to continue in the calling God has given me.

This Week’s Growth Guide

God’s Word is both central and critical to your spiritual growth. We invite you to utilize the Growth Guide during the week to further your application of the Truth from the message.

• Monday - Ephesians 1
• Tuesday - Ephesians 2-3
• Wednesday - Ephesians 4-5
• Thursday - Ephesians 6
• Friday - Acts 19:23-41

Home Church
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught
Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another.  Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.

Home Church Questions

•  Read Acts 19:1-22.
•  What was the main point of the message this week?
•  Was there anything new, interesting, insightful, or even unclear from the message?
•  What was your main takeaway from this week’s message?
•  How do you understand and experience the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life?  Is it always the same?
Is it the same for everyone?
•  How do you know when it is time to “move on?”
•  So, handkerchiefs and aprons were taken to the sick, and evil spirits left them and they were healed.
How do we apply this?
•  Do verses 13-16 have any influence on how you understand verses 8-12?
•  Talk about how the context of Ephesus is essential for understanding what happened there.  How does
Ephesians 6:10-20 help fil in our understanding of this passage in Acts?
•  If God demonstrated His transformingpower differently in different communities, how do we expect Him to
“show up” in our lives?
