Home Church

In our world today, we get captivated by so many things – TV’s, phones, social media, sports and anything else we can cram into our crazy schedules.  All in hope of connecting, resting, and enjoying life.  However, we find the things meant to connect us, enrich us, and entertain us leave us wanting.

Why?  It’s simple.  We have replaced deep, meaningful relationships with people for Facebook friends, Twitter followers, and Instagram. We watch people’s lives from our computers instead of getting across tables and doing life with them!  Our schedules are so packed full with things to make us happy that we are too exhausted to enjoy what God created us for – relationship!
Fellowship believes Jesus had something else in mind for His disciples.  Jesus offers an eternal relationship with the God of the universe who came in the form of a baby with a purpose of giving up His perfect life as a ransom for you and me!

We are created for relationships – a relationship with our Creator that leads us to become Family with others who have placed their faith in the finished work of Christ. As disciples of Jesus we are to grow those relationships, encourage one another and do life with other believers while reaching out to those not in the Family.

This is why Fellowship prioritizes Home Church.  Home Church is all about relationships! We do this through weekly prayer, weekly study and community in the context of a small group. We even have childcare for ages birth - 4th grade for $35/month/family.

What is Home Church?

Home Church is a small group gathering of 12-16 people who meet weekly to pray, study God’s Word and grow in relationship with God and one another.

When do Home Churches meet?

Home Church calendar is in a trimester format. Here are the 2019-2020 dates of each term.

  • Fall Term – Week of Aug 25, 2019 – week of December 8, 2019

  • Winter Term – Week of January 12, 2020 – week of March 15, 2020

  • Spring Term – Week of April 4, 2020 – week of May 3, 2020

What are the expectation for someone in a Home Church?

Adults form relationships by proximity and consistency over an extended period of time. Since Home Church is all about relationships, we ask those in a Home Church to commit to being present and prepared each week. Make Home Church a settled fixture in your week as opposed to something that is a week to week decision. Obviously if sickness hits or work goes late unexpectedly, you will have to miss, but that is the exception, not the norm. To form great relationships, we need you there! We also want you prepared by having been at church on Sunday morning or listening to the podcast of the message. This allows you to fully participate in the discussion as well as share any insight the Lord may have given you that would bless someone else. We ask for you to commit to at least one term.

Jason and Tabitha May She was a Texan living in England. He was an Arkansan living in Honduras, but God brought them together and were married in Houston. Jason is a UCA alum. They celebrated the birth their first baby girl, Isabella, last fall. When not working, Jason enjoys punishing himself with house remodel projects (especially wiring speakers in every room), movies and board games. Tabitha loves being a stay at home mom and fellowships with ladies over a good cup of English tea. What they are most excited about home church is engaging with people on a deeper level. The May HC will be meeting 6:30 pm on Sunday evenings.

Mark and Linda Harris Mark and Linda have a love for cycling and running. Thirty-four years of marriage and an empty nest have us enjoying outdoor activities that keep us feeling young as we age. Linda is an RN working at Conway Regional Rehabilitation Hospital . What they are most excited about when it comes to Home Church is meeting believers working through the same earthly struggles we face. The Harris HC will meet on Tuesday evenings.
