Contend for the Faith by
Cultivating Personal and Corporate Holiness
While Extending Compassionate Rescue
to those affected by False Teaching.

How to Hear God: A Simple Guide for Normal People (2022) is a practical, accessible guide to developing a real conversational relationship with God. Framed around the Emmaus Road story in Luke 24—where the risen Jesus walks and talks with two discouraged disciples—Greig shows how God speaks through both His Word (Scripture, prayer, prophecy, and Jesus Himself ) and His Whisper (dreams, community, creation, culture, and the still small voice). Blending evangelical, charismatic, and contemplative traditions (including lectio divina), the book equips “normal people” with honest wisdom, personal stories, and tools to discern God’s voice amid life’s noise, turning monologue prayers into genuine dialogue. [N.B. Pete is a little more charismatic than I am but in a healthy way.]

But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up
in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit,
staying right at the center of God’s love,
keeping your arms open and outstretched,
ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ.
This is the unending life, the real life!
The Message

The Most Important Verses of Jude
Verses 17-23 are the most important in the letter of Jude. It is here
that Jude spells out just how he wants his readers to pursue the purpose
for which he has written the letter: that they “contend for the faith once for all, and trusted to
the saints” (v.3). Jude specifies three things that his readers need to do: remember the apostolic
warnings about the heretics (vv. 17-19); Secure their own faith (vv. 20-21); and reach out to
rescue people in danger (vv.22-23). His exhortation is as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago.

Prayer During Service
We love to pray for one another. Our prayer team will have people at the front of the Auditorium under the signs Hope and Love to pray for you after the message. Please feel free to walk up to them for prayer or encouragement during the first worship song after the message.
