Introduction: Advent

God’s Presence - His Design

God’s Presence - His Desire

God’s relational presence begins in the garden and is woven
through time culminating in His presence with us for eternity.

Next Steps
•   What one thing will you do this Advent season to experience God’s presence
     in your daily life?

•  What distraction do you need to remove to focus solely on Christ?

This Week’s Growth Guide
God’s Word is both central and critical to your spiritual growth. We invite you to utilize the Growth Guide during the week to further your application of the Truth from the message.

Monday - Genesis 1
•. Tuesday - Genesis 2
•. Wednesday - Genesis 3
•. Thursday - Genesis 4
•. Friday - Exodus 25:8, 29:45-46

Home Church
Our Home Churches meet weekly to facilitate quicker relational depth, study the same passage taught
Sunday to help apply Scripture in the context of community, and pray with one another.  Home Church helps our body seek God’s best for one another.

Home Church Questions

•  Talk about any traditions you enjoy through the Advent season.

•  What stands out to you when you ponder God’s relational presence?

•  Tell about a time that you experienced the presence of God.

•  What in life drives you away from God’s presence, and what draws you into His presence?

•  God’s presence is powerful, and we see that it is highlighted when there is struggle, (Adam/Eve in the garden, Cain being banished). How do you see this play out in your life?

Christmas at Fellowship
Join us for a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service on Sunday, December 24, at 10:45 am and 4 pm. Both services are the same, including a time for the children to come to the stage to enjoy a reading of the Christmas story. Invite your family and friends to join you as we worship Emmanuel, God with us.

New to Fellowship?
We are so glad that you joined the Fellowship Family to worship this morning.  If you are joining us for the first time or have been checking us out for a few weeks, we are excited you are here and would love to meet you.  Please fill out the “Connect Card” and bring it to the Connection Center in the Atrium, we would love to say “hi” and give you a gift.

Fellowship Women’s  Potluck and PJ Party
Ladies, let’s get together Thursday, December 7, 6:00 p.m. at 11 Skyland Drive (home of Amy McKissack), for a heart-warming evening filled with delicious food and good company.  Bring your favorite dish to share and wear your favorite comfy clothes or PJs.   Child care provided by texting Shanna at 501-336-0332 by December 4.

Perspectives
Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson discipleship course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. You will journey with believers from across our community, clarifying each believer’s remarkable opportunity to co-labor with God in His global purpose. You have an integral role to play in God’s story! Class starts January 16.  Register and pay by December 31 to save $25.  Partial scholarships and childcare available. Stop by the table in the Atrium this Sunday!

Fellowship Giving
Fellowship has three ways to give. Baskets are at every exit where you can place your offering this morning. Envelopes for giving are available at the Connection Center. Gifts can be given through our website at fellowshipconway.org/give or through the app. You can set up recurring giving or one-time gifts with a credit card, debit card, or through your checking account.

Christmas Offering
In December, we are taking up a special offering for the Operation Christmas Child Special Pack (held in October 2024). The gifts received will determine the number of boxes we are able to  send. To send each gospel opportunity (box), it costs $20 for items, transportation, and the tools needed to share the hope found in Christ with a child. Please consider giving above and beyond your regular giving to the worthy cause of getting the gospel to sensitive areas that are difficult to reach. You can use the envelope in a seat near you or give online by selecting “Christmas Offering” from the options. For an idea of what we are trying to raise, last year we packed 2,600 boxes, which is equal to $52,000.
