Gift Acceptance Policy

Fellowship Bible Church of Conway encourages the giving and acceptance of gifts that enable it to fulfill its mission and vision.  For any church, and especially a Mission-focused church, gifts are essential. The assurance of integrity is vital; therefore, the solicitation, receipt, acceptance, application and recognition of financial gifts and contributions must adhere to the following general guidelines.

The most needed gifts are those with the fewest possible restrictions.  Unrestricted funds allow the Church to address its most basic and pressing needs and ministry expenses.  Gifts donated without any express limitation placed upon them will be credited to the unrestricted fund account called the General Giving Fund.

The Church may seek and accept gifts from individuals, partnerships, corporations and foundations for designated purposes which have received appropriate approval.  A gift in any amount may be accepted as a contribution to an existing fund designated for a specific need of the Church so long as the Finance and Leadership Team and/or Elder Board approves and the terms and conditions of the existing fund so permit.

Fellowship Bible Church of Conway will not accept a gift or contributions if its restrictions:

  • are inconsistent with the mission and vision of the Church or its ministries.

  • inhibit the Church from seeking gifts from other donors, whether similar or different.

  • involve unlawful discrimination as prohibited by federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

All financial gifts and contributions made to Fellowship Bible Church of Conway are made with the understanding that the church has complete discretion and control over the use of donated funds. If the total contributions received for a designated project or purpose exceed the amount needed for that project or purpose, the Church reserves the right to use any such excess funds for the furtherance of other ministry activities. Although the Church may take into consideration the request of a donor as to the use of contributed funds, the Church must retain the right to determine how the funds will be used in order for gifts to be tax deductible.

Control Over Contributions

You may schedule new online contributions at any time and modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date for which they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, it cannot be cancelled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact a member of our Finance Team office@fellowshipconway.org.

Please note that for online contributions given via credit or debit card, the amount the Church actually receives will typically be approximately 2.4% less (depending upon the type of card used) than the contribution amount you specify due to normal card processing fees. Contributions made via the EFT are not subject to these fees and result in more dollars being put to work in ministry.

Online Contributions

Fellowship Bible Church will handle the collection and processing of funds raised for individuals as long as the missions trip is an approved effort by the Church. In order for contributions to be tax deductible, the mission trip must be an approved effort by the Church, and all checks should be made payable to Fellowship Bible Church of Conway, not to the individual team members. Contributions intended for team members who must cancel their participation, who raised more than the needed funds, or who become disqualified for any reason will be redirected to other ministry purposes related to the missions trip, Legacy Missions funds, or other ministry activities of the Church, as deemed appropriate by the Church’s Finance and Missions Teams.

Mission Trip Contributions

Statements of contributions are mailed quarterly detailing giving for the prior period. You may also access your online giving history at any time through your online account.
