Home Church

You and I were created for community.  God’s desire and intention for us to be in relationship with Him and with one another is a thread woven throughout Scripture.  On the first page we read, “Let us make man in our image...” (Genesis 1:26). The triune God: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit existing in perfect fellowship are now creating men and women to join them, to reflect the unity and bear the very image of the Creator God.

Turn the page and find, “be fruitful and multiply…”  Now the Creator God tells the created to continue creating. He is initiating families: Fathers, Mothers, Sons and Daughters--all of this was God’s idea and God’s creation.

Page after page we then see a people created for God pursuing anything and everything but God...grasping for lesser things, until suddenly God interrupts their rebellion.  In a vivid display of His desire to know and be known, He not only comes into our world, but takes on flesh and becomes one of us: Immanuel, God with us.

Why? Because God knows something of which you and I are just beginning to scratch the surface: we are made for Him. We are created to know and worship Him.

Page after page we see Immanuel, Jesus Christ, living with the ones He created, walking, talking, listening, healing, and teaching.  He is community incarnate.

His purpose, however, wasn’t just to show us community (although He absolutely did) but to accomplish community.   His death and resurrection restored what sin destroyed, bringing us back into relationship with Him and with one another.

We continue turning pages and see the beginning of a new community, the body of believers, the church: people of all backgrounds and ethnicities, being invited into a new, redeemed community of believers, a beautiful tapestry threaded together by God Himself, Jesus Christ, Immanuel.

So here we are, you and I, living out the story of God in relationship with Him and with one another: the family of God. What an extraordinary display of His mercy and love!

If we continue turning the pages, we finally come to Revelation where we see the ultimate display of God’s intention from the beginning: an uncountable number of believers from all nations and all generations, gathered around the throne doing what we were created to do--worshiping the King together. (Rev. 7:9).

Friends, this is what we are made for: worshipping our King together.  May we each live our lives, not grasping for lesser things, but leaning into this, our highest calling. May we live in community with one another and with our great God.

This is why Fellowship prioritizes Home Church.  Home Church is all about relationships! We do this through weekly prayer, weekly study and community in the context of a small group. We even have childcare for ages birth - 4th grade for $35/month/family.

What is Home Church?

Home Church is a small group gathering of 12-16 people who meet weekly to pray, study God’s Word and grow in relationship with God and one another.

When do Home Churches meet?

Home Churches will launch for the Fall semester on the week of August 27th and conclude on the week of December 10th. The Spring semester will run the week of January 7th and conclude on the week of April 21st. There are currently groups meeting on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.

What are the expectation for someone in a Home Church?

Adults form relationships by proximity and consistency over an extended period of time. Since Home Church is all about relationships, we ask those in a Home Church to commit to being present and prepared each week. Make Home Church a settled fixture in your week as opposed to something that is a week to week decision. Obviously if sickness hits or work goes late unexpectedly, you will have to miss, but that is the exception, not the norm. To form great relationships, we need you there! We also want you prepared by having been at church on Sunday morning or listening to the podcast of the message. This allows you to fully participate in the discussion as well as share any insight the Lord may have given you that would bless someone else. We ask for you to commit to at least one term.

Let’s get you connected!

Fill out the form below, let us know your preferred group or day, and we will be in contact with you and work hard to get you connected to a Home Church that fits your life stage.

Home Church Childcare

In an effort to support our families to get connected in a Home Church, Fellowship offers two nights of childcare for your kids, 4th grade and under.  Your kids will be safe and interacted with by loving, trained workers who are also background checked. The time your kids are with us is more than just sitting and watching a movie. Each week we provide some combination of snacks, games, Bible stories, songs, and movies.

Sunday or Wednesday night from 5:30-8:30 PM (drop-off beginning at 5:30, pick up no later than 8:30) leave your kids with us while you focus on connecting with other adults in your Home Church. Fill out this form to register your child and then check out all the info below.
