GO: to move from one place to another, to leave, depart, an attempt or trial at something, spirit or energy, functioning properly. Or in Operation Christmas Child definition- Gospel Opportunity. Each shoebox we pack meets all these definitions, but most importantly the last one. Each recipient receives their box from a in-country volunteer for Samaritan’s Purse accompanied by the booklet, The Greatest Gift, in their language. From there, recipients can take part in The Greatest Journey, the discipleship program in which children meet with teachers and have the story of Jesus presented clearly to them in their language. Their graduation gift in a Bible, also in their language. It is the goal of Samaritan’s Purse to reach as many children as possible, thus the One Child, One Box, One Lifetime banner as seen in the above picture. What better reason to pack another box! And this year, it’s even easier to do. The above picture is of the Go Store housed in the Ministry Center, 766 Harkrider, in Conway. Here the Casons, the best power shoppers in this area, have accumulated anything you need to pack a box for any age group (including the box). It truly is a one stop shopping extravaganza, and they have passed on the savings to you. They have great deals on hygiene kits, school supplies, clothes and shoes and some unique items (how about a hammer and nails for a 10-14 year old boy). Check out the GO Store and visit their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/OCCgostore, for more information.
