We are just a couple weekends away from being part of something amazing…seeing 100,000 meals packed and shipped to a place in the world where starvation is claiming 100′s of children each day.  Fellowship Student Ministries (FSM) has partnered with the efforts of Pitza 42 to reach the goal of 100,000 meals to feed starving children.

The finish line is in view, but we still have two goals to reach before we get there.

1) We need to reach our goal of $1400.  At last count we were just a bit over $600.  We have committed to $1200,which would feed 5000 meals, but there was a challenge of getting an extra $200 and an anonymous donor would foot another $1000 to double our food donation to 10,000 meals!  To reach that, we are challenging EVERY YOUTH to contribute $10 in the next two weeks.  If everyone would do just that, we would exceed our goal. We desire this to be money that our students have earned through babysitting, chores around grandma’s house or selling something so that it is truly ‘their mission,’ but are open to parents encouraging and/or suggesting ways to make the money.

2) April 14th from 2:00-4:00 PM is the packing meals party!  We have 40 slots to fill in order to accomplish our part in this mission.  We need youth & parents alike, but are not opening up to friends just yet.  We want to first offer to Fellowship youth who have been part through praying & giving for the past 11 weeks.  If we still have spots to fill, we will open it to friends of our youth.
