Thanks for contributing to the Gospel being shared this Easter

April 15th, 2012 by Chris

Easter Offering

Thank you for giving to The Easter Offering at Fellowship!

This Easter we gave you the opportunity to help send the Gospel all over the world through The Easter Offering and you stepped into it big time!

Our goal as a church was to raise $16,000 and we are pleased to let you know that we received $18,755 in The Easter Offering.

You also collectively offered 91 hours in service through our Sallie Cone ministry this Easter. I’m excited about the ways that the Gospel will be sent out from Fellowship as a result of The Easter Offering. Here is what your sacrificial giving will help to support this year:

  1. Support a Pastor at the 2012 Bible Institutes in Rivas, Nicaragua
  2. Operation Christmas Child
  3. Missionary Needs and Support
  4. Reach Kids in Conway with hours of service through Sallie Cone Ministry

Now that you have given the work will begin. Ken, John Moss, and Eric Moffett head to Rivas, Nicaragua on April 21-27 for the next Nicaragua Bible Institute. You are a part of making that ministry possible. Our goal is to have well over 100 pastors and church leaders in Nicaragua equipped to better reach their country through a week of solid biblical training this April.

Will you begin praying for those pastors and church leaders in Rivas that will be able to attend the Bible Institute because of your support?

Will you begin praying for ways God can use you personally in mission opportunities?

Thanks

Dinner Fundraiser for Summer Mission Trips

April 9th, 2012 by Shane

The Czech Team & the Youth Ozark Mission Project Team will have our final fundraiser Tuesday, April 17th at 6:00 PM at Fellowship Bible Church.  Redemption Roadhouse will be doing burgers and dogs for us (and joining to raise money to feed the hungry as their mission).

We want to invite you to come out enjoy a night of not having to cook or clean-up dinner!  Invite you friends, extended family, neighbors or anyone else that needs to eat and join us! You can grab a ticket this Sunday at our table in the atrium before, between or after services or by coming by the office (a ticket is not needed to get in, but a way to keep track of how much food we will need).

The meal is free, but we will give an opportunity for you to give a tax deductible gift to the mission teams that are putting on the event!  Checks can be made out to Fellowship Bible Church.  If you are unable to attend, but would like to give, you can drop a check by the office with ‘fundraiser’ in the memo.  We appreciate your support!

The Easter Offering

March 29th, 2012 by Chris

Easter is a time where people come together to remember, focus, and celebrate the finished work of Jesus. This year we want to challenge everyone connected with Fellowship to do even more through The Easter Offering. We are taking up a special, one-time offering to support ministries through which God can use Fellowship to leave a lasting legacy for Christ. I invite you to join in The Easter Offering as we gather to worship the Risen Lord!

This is where we give above and beyond our regular giving. We’ll use 100% of the money from this offering to support the following projects to spread the Gospel all over the world.

Download the The Easter Offering Letter here.

1) Support a Pastor at the 2012 Bible Institutes in Rivas, Nicaragua

Nicaragua Pastor

Through The Easter Offering we will be supporting Nicaraguan church leaders by financially making it possible to attend 2 weeks of Biblical training this year. This spring they will study Man, Sin, and Salvation and this fall Church History. Our goal is to equip 140 Nicaraguan pastors to impact their country and beyond with a solid foundation of Gospel-centered Biblical teaching.

2) Operation Christmas Child

OCC Last year Fellowship packed and sent a record 1,590 Gospel opportunities to children all over the world making OCC our biggest evangelistic outreach as a church. Imagine what we could do in November if we sacrificially give financially now to help mobilize more people, fill, and send more Gospel opportunities than ever before.

Won’t it be cool to hang out in Heaven with a whole bunch of kiddos who came to know Christ as a part of your Easter Offering this year?!

Jason May

3) Missionary Needs & Support

We want to continue to be a sending church. Glance at the support list in the bulletin this week and take a look at how many ways we get to be involved in God’s work all over this earth through our missionaries. It would be great to provide funding for new and existing missionary needs as identified by our Missions Committee and approved by the Elders throughout the year.

4) Reach kids in Conway with 450 hours of Sallie Cone service

It has been a true privilege to watch God work through our body as you have invested in the lives of the students at Sallie Cone Elementary over the last six years. Many of you have spent time there modeling Christ and showing the kids that God loves them. As Sallie Cone Elementary closes and the new Carol Lewis Elementary opens we have an opportunity to finish strong at Sallie Cone and open doors to future ministry relationships at Carol Lewis by serving in two ways.

The first is participate in the final Sallie Cone Fishing Event at Bob Courtway Fishing Pond on April 24. The second is to serve the teachers moving to the new school by helping them pack up their rooms on May 19. Would you give 2 hours of fishing with a student or 3 hours packing a room with a teacher as an offering of service this Easter? These simple acts of service will speak volumes to the students, faculty, and administration of Fellowship’s and, more importantly, God’s love for them.

On April 8 we will receive the The Easter Offering during each of our morning services.

We’re providing special envelopes the next two Sundays and encouraging everyone to come prepared to give on that day. I am confident that if everyone does their part and gives as they’ve been blessed, we will hit our God-sized goal of $16,000 and 450 service hours.

If you’re going to be out of town that day, or if you’d like to go ahead and donate now, you can do that online. It’s safe, secure, and simple. Just visit www.fellowshipconway.org/give.

God has given us the greatest mission ever and we’re blessed to be able to join Him in reaching our community and world for Christ and advancing the Gospel!
