Our trip has been amazing. Tommy, Bob and I have had a really fantastic time. The most difficult event was trying to get to the airport in Little Rock in the snow. After having our initial flight cancelled and making a close connection in Chicago we have had smooth sailing.
After landing in Prague we were “fetched” at the airport by Tomas Polivka and make quick work of a walking tour of the castle complete with a trip up one million stairs to the top of one of the towers (not recommended after a long trip through seven time zones and no sleep). On Thursday we had another day in Prague (walking in the snow in a very old city if very romantic, too bad I was with Tommy and Bob). You will have toast them all about it when we get back.
On Friday we traveled by train to Malenovice for the first Men’s conference. One hundred men from Czech, Slovakia and Germany. Our topic was the Men made by the Word. We talked about using how to allow the Bible to shape us as men and how to use our words to shape others. Tommy and Bob helped with some of talks and it went very well. The men were very responsive and seemed to have a great time. Again, you will have to have the guys tell you more. The conference ended on Friday at 5:30 and we were picked up by Greg Carlson and dashed over the Polish. Border where I spoke for two more hours to a group of men from Zory. The smaller group allowed for more interaction and we had a great time hearing about these coal miners coming to Christ and walking with him in very difficult times.
Ill be preaching in Bialsko-Biola today and the guys go Auschwitz tomorrow and I will spend the day with Greg and Heidi. Keep us in your prayers and pray especially that we will be an encouragement to the people in ministry here.
Have a great day at Church and know that we are worshipping with the saints in Poland today as well.
For the only cause that matters,
Ken, for the guys.
